How is the Relationship Score calculated

At Relata, our data team use advanced data techniques to provide a score which represents the Effort you make in a Relationship.

For a Contact, the Relationship Score is calculated by taking two key areas into consideration.

  1. Strong two-way interactions are seen as an indicator of good relationship health. We track numerous dimensions to prove calculate this, including:

    • Frequency - How often you are talking with the contact

    • Responsiveness - How often you are responding to one another

    • Breadth - How varying your conversations are with the contact

    • Depth - How much detail you go into in conversations with the contact

    • Balance - How equal or one-sided the conversations are with the contact

    • Roots - How many people are involved in the conversations, and how wide a network there is on both sides

  2. Relationship history gives insight into your current relationship. We take multiple dimensions into account when monitoring this this, including:

    • Placing more weight on long term relationships compared to new relationships or Contacts you have only had brief encounters with

    • Placing more weight on relationships which were once strong, but where recent communication may have lapsed

For a Company, the calculation takes into account all of the Contact Relationship Scores at that Company.
